FC Seoul put up mannequin dolls in the stands during the K-League 1 2020 2nd round home game at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 17th. Even though Coronavirus was still relevant, they wanted to show their supporters that they were playing and to keep the fans cheering. However, after the game began, it became controversial as mannequins were pointed out as a sex dolls' (a full-body doll for sexual purposes) that promotes adult activities. The controversy has grown even more, as the brand names and the model names have been found on the mannequins. FC Seoul has apologized through their official website. FC Seoul said, "we are very sorry to our fans for the cheering mannequin incident during the game on the 17th of May”. He explained, "we installed mannequins because they looked life-like unlike the usual mannequins, but the products we used have no relation to the adult companies”.
